for both pre-prep and prep girls

We believe that girls should be encouraged to become active citizens in local, national and global contexts. So our exciting and stimulating activities beyond the classroom enable girls to develop talents in many areas, learn new skills, widen their interests and grow in confidence.

The Hamlets offers a variety of lunchtime and after school clubs, which currently include dance, drama, orchestra, choir, photography, yoga, archery, chess, French, cross stitch and tennis.

As well as the weekly choir and orchestra clubs, girls with an interest in music may learn an instrument with our peripatetic music staff, and there are several opportunities throughout the year for girls to perform in our musical evenings.

During the last term of the school year girls in Year 5 have the chance to go on an Outward Bound holiday with members of school staff. The wide range of activities are run by a team of qualified instructors who keep the girls busy day and night with rock climbing, abseiling, orienteering, quizzes and the weekly disco.

This year girls will enjoy a Year 6 trip to France. Girls will have the opportunity to practise their French in local markets and art galleries, before returning to their chateau to enjoy traditional meals prepared by a local chef. Pupils are especially looking forward to helping make cheese at a goat farm and a spending a full day in Paris!

Some of the clubs are run by outside organisations and are available at an extra charge.
