Age 8 - 11 By the start of Year 4, girls have established very firm academic foundations, which are now developed and extended. Academic achievement is a key priority, but we never lose sight of the need for a balanced education of the whole child. Girls are taught an enriched and enhanced National Curriculum. A well-structured timetable provides a balance of activities each day. More subjects are taught as discrete specialities and there is wider use of expert teachers. Verbal and non-verbal reasoning lessons help sharpen and extend pupils’ skills, while music and art develop their creativity. Small classes of about 20 ensure that every girl receives individual attention.
